Lots of destruction with Katrina and some of the things that people forgot are the animals that were the last to be rescued by lots volunteer people from all over some from Phoenix AZ; I provided a camera for two brothers that volunteered to go to the Katrina rescue, Rick and Tony Valenzuela of the Arizona Humane Society who donated there time in animal rescues. Camera doses not seem like but, as compared to Tony Valenzuela\'s time, he took some incredible pictures of some of the animal rescues that went on with the Arizona Humane Society group. His time was one of the greatest assets that he and others could have done for all the helpless animals left after the tragic storm of Katrina affected everything in many flooded areas. Some of the pictures that he took were published in one of the local Arizona Humane Society magazines with a dog rescue off a roof top of a building where this dog had been stranded there for up to seven days with no food before being rescued. In one interview Tony was quoted as saying. \"They drowned, straining at their tethers, as the flood waters slowly rose. \"It\'s horrific. They told us before we left to leave our hearts behind,\" A sad story but a good ending for some of the helpless that weathered the Katrina storm. They were featured on Animal Planet Heroes Phoenix later on for there extreme efforts in animal rescues.
