This photo was taken in January of 2006. Many animal rescue groups like the HSUS had left in October. There were still many cats and dogs on the streets, and they were not neutered. Thus there was a major puppy explosion, and later a kitten explosion. While working with Best Friends Animal Santuary, our team focused on moms and pups. These little guys and their mother were found underneath a house on Flake St. out in New Orleans east.
