When I knew Hurricane Katrina was going to hit Louisiana, I was so scared I cried. Then we got a hotel in Houston, Texas. Sunday, the day before the hurricane hit, I evacuated. A few days after the hurricane we called my mom\'s aunt and uncle to stay with them. They live in Houma, Louisiana. We went and stayed in my mom\'s aunt and uncle\'s camper. The first time we went home it was my mom, dad, and my sister Amanda. They said our pool was black and they also said that there was a tree on my dad\'s shed. I told my mom I had to see our house. The second time we went home it was my mom, dad, me, Amanda, and my cousin Brittani. When I got home I called my outside cat, but he didn\'t come. I got his cat food and shook it. Then I heard him meowing. Then we went back to Houma, Louisiana. A couple of weeks later we went home, but we still didn\'t have power and my grandma was with us and she had power, so we went and stayed at her house. We stayed for two days. The second night at about 7:30 our neighbor called my dad and said we had power, so we went home. A week later we got back to normal in our house we started to live happily ever after.
