Online Story Contribution, Hurricane Digital Memory Bank

On Friday night myself and Leo Casanova, both of the Graduate Political Science Association @ UTSA, decided that we would participate in the relief effort by volunteering at Kelly USA. \r\n\r\nOn Saturday we were there from 10:30 am until 3:30 pm handing out water and juice to incoming New Orleans refugees and stuffed bears to children. \r\n\r\nNothing can compare to the hugs and thanks each of the folks gave so freely. \r\n\r\nI saw a child no more than six years old pushing her grandmother in a wheelchair and all you could see was the top of her head. I gave her one of the biggest bears I could find and the hug she gave meant so much to me. \r\n\r\nPlease help out as much as you can in whatever way you can. Believe me your kindness is appreciated more than you will know. \r\n\r\nI am going out again on Sunday with some more GPSA folks. Come out you will be glad you did. \r\n\r\n-- James Zamarron\r\n\r\nGraduate Political Science Association (GPSA) \r\n\r\noriginally collected by University of Texas, San Antonio, http://www.utsa.edu/today/hurricane/ShareKatrinaStories.htm
