I found out about the hurricane when I was talking to one of my friends on the telephone, and about two days before the hurricane hit. me and my mom, dad, brother and my moms sisters family headed to Dallas but the whole way there we got lost. And so we stopped in Canton, TX and parked in the RV park we stayed there for about a week and then headed to Houston for about 3 or 4 days and then headed back to my house. When we got to Beaumont there was major traffic because of all the people heading back that way, and no one was able to go into Beaumont and It was really dark because no lights on anything was working It was really akward and there was police at all the get off ramps. So when we got to Vidor we was really suprised when we saw all the trees and things laying around but there wasnt anything on the road. But when we was heading down my road thats when everything started to look like a forest because there was trees everywhere and my house looked horriable nothing really feel on the house. But all the trees my parents were gonna cut down before was taken care of because we didnt have much of any trees left after the hurricane and so we would got back to Houston and then got to my house and clean up and we did that pretty much everyday cleaning up around the yard trying to get all the branches and things up. We have no fence anymore we just recently took it up two big trees fell on it and onto the neighbor in front of our houses front yard. It took awhile to get our water back and our electricity but It didnt take long to get the phone back because my dad works for the telephone company and so he did it for us. But when we found out school was going to start that was about that time that we got our electricity and water so everything turned out okay. And a big tree brach went through our attic and there was a water dripping in our kitchen but we got it fixed and everythings fine now.
