When I heard about the hurricane comiong, no one really believed me about how we would have to evacuate. I\'m from Gulfport Mississippi orginally,I KNOW hurricanes mean business, after surving hurricane George years ago when i was little. \r\nSo here I was inisisting to people at my texas school we would be forced to evacuate, people thought we wouldn\'t even get hit. \r\nThey were wrong. \r\nWe evacuated two days after I told people we would have to leave. I went to Garrison, Texas to where my grandparents lived. I stayed in a little camper at Timpson Lake. I slept through most of the hurricane, but it was really noisy. We had my two dogs with us, and they are fine to this day. We had to leave my cats, but they survived too. \r\nMy mother left me with my grandparents to go start cleaning up the house until school started again. I thought I would have to start school there but i didn\'t.\r\nAfter two weeks I went back to my house, which had small damage, and went bnack to school. People were shocked and devastated bnecause they did nothing to prepare, they just left their house. So they had alot of damage. And honestly I can\'t help but think ,\" I told you so\" Although I do feel sorry for them, and it tragic to happen. People lost families, pets, personal things and houses in these two storms. The people in Alabama, and Mississippi should have KNOWN to take this hurricane seriously, and got out of there FAST!
