Online Story Contribution, Hurricane Digital Memory Bank

After spending five days under Hurricane Katrina\'s wrath, I finally reached Houston, Texas. Through my days in the biggest storm to hit New Orleans, I was able to witness some amazing things and was lucky enough to capture some truly captivating photographs. As I unwinded at my aunt\'s house in Houston and uploaded my pictures unto my KodakGallery website, I supplied my images with factual and narrative, yet witty, commentary. I sent this \"album\" to my usual number of friends which added up to about no more than 20 or 30 individuals. What happened next astonished me...\r\nIn the days since I uploaded my images, instead of the usual 20 to 30 views that my Kodak Gallery album would have normally received, my latest album, chronicling my tale with Katrina, has received thousands of visits. I have received numerous emails from peope all over the world thanking me, complimenting me on the chronicles of my tale. I believe this is the base for a great story. I have already been interviewed by CNN Live, CNN International, and CNN Espanol discussing my pictures and my \"adventure\". I would love to contribute to the Smithsonian and the preservation of history by providing you with these images.\r\n\r\nsincerely, \r\nAlvaro R.
