This is the Chateau DiJon Apartments in Metairie on W. Esplanade N. This complex had been hit by a tornado 2 months earlier during tropical storm Cindy and it hadn\'t even been repaired from that yet! I stayed through that storm and it scared me to death. Who would have known almost 2 months later mother nature would try to finish the job? I evacuated to Lafayette, Lousiana and was hit by the 95 mile an hour fallout from Rita next !!! I am now back in the windy city (Chicago) where the only big wind is the politicians. Though I will miss the varied colorful public figures of New Orleans and Jefferson Parrishes ( don\'t worry I don\'t mean you Harry Lee, NOT )\r\n\r\nLiving in Lousiana was some of the most exciting and devasting times of my life and I wouldn\'t give up the experience I had for anything! Though being homeless, jobless, friendless almost and in a daze for 6 months surely does bite the big one, GOD (are you listening?)
