Diane Melerine on her wedding day at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, 1979. This is the only wedding photo that survived storm damage. She married David Melerine, Sr. from Chalmette (his father is from Delacroix Island and his mother is from New Orleans, near Mercy Hospital).\r\n\r\nDiane Melerine lived at 2720 Jackson Blvd., Chalmette, LA, before the storm. Her house was flooded by nine feet of water.
