i evacuated the sunday before the hurricane. my family, one of my freinds, and myself all left at about 10 in the morning going to my aunts house in lafayette. traffic was so bad, we didnt arrive until 11 that night. we stayed in lafayette for about 3 days and then my friend and i left to go to baton rouge, to hang out with my frinds at LSU. we are all college students, and i go to UNO; since i didnt know if i had a school left, we jst stayed with my frinds at LSu and partyed up there. everyoine was soooooo accepting of us. we got in everywhere for free, and everyone was sooo helpful. i transfered my job up threre for about 3 or 4 weeks and then returned home when they allowed us back in town. i live right outside of teh city and only had minor dammage to my house. i returned to work and am now taking online classes... i am very taknkful for everyone who has help me or anyone else that had to leave home for the storm. i am also greatfukl taht i had little losses....thas about it
