I am from Dallas, Texas but I was actually going to school in New Orleans on a track scholarship. I did not even know about the hurricane until late but when I found out I left right then. I packed up a few things and that was it. I did not get alot of damage but alot of my things were stolen. I send my prayers out to everyone affected by Hurricane Katrina. I can honestly say that I know how you feel because I have experienced the same thing.
