If I had legs that were very strong\r\nIf I had some youth to push me along\r\n\r\nIf I had the means to feed a lot\r\nIf I had a boat to get me to that spot\r\n\r\nI would go to the people in distress\r\nI would help do my part in this mess\r\n\r\nI would listen to the people who are around\r\nI would give a big hug as I sat me down\r\n\r\nA great big smile to go with that hug\r\nI\'d bring fresh water free from bugs\r\n\r\nI\'d bring a batch of brownies too\r\nA yummie gift from me to you\r\n\r\nBut since I am unable to do these things\r\nI sent a check that will help bring\r\n\r\nFood, medicine, hugs and smiles\r\nThat will travel across the miles\r\n\r\nLittle by little the work will get done\r\nOur Military will help till the Victory is won\r\n\r\nOur President and Leaders, local people too\r\nAre hard at work just for you\r\n\r\nYou are not forgotten, you are on our mind\r\nYou are in our prayers, you won\'t be left behind\r\n\r\nAs a Nation we have all opened our heart\r\nAs a Nation, that\'s the place to start
