Bird by Rayon - Rayon was intent on drawing an Eagle. He wanted to draw an American Eagle because “Eagles are Strong and Powerful.” “You can’t mess with an Eagle and that will be good on your quilt,” he suggested. After I showed him the quilt and he noticed some of the pencil drawings, he decided to use a lot of color. One of the other younger boys at the table said, “It’s a New Orleans Eagle.” Rayon laughed and wanted his picture hung up high on the wall. He was very proud of his Eagle, I saw him walk by a couple of times to make sure it was still hanging.
