At the time of hurricane Katrina I was working at a grocery store by me. I had been there for a couple of years, and had seen many people come and go working there. A few weeks after Katrina a new guy started working there. His name was Sean. As I got to know Sean I learned that he went to a college in New Orleans, and that the only reason he was working now was because his school had closed for the semester because of the massive flooding. Sean and myself became fairly good friends. He stayed at Safeway until about January when his school re-opened for a new semester. Sean still works at Safeway in between semesters now, but had it not been for hurricane Katrina he may have never started working there in the first place, and we may have never met.
