August 29, 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans Louisiana and the surrounding areas. My home was destroyed that day. August 30, 2005 I began to call a new place home. I moved in with my girlfriend Amelia\'s family. The house was in Maurice, a small town just outside of Lafeyette, Louisiana. The house was old. It was a three bedroom house with no doors to any of the bedrooms. All privacy was completely lost. The total occupancy of this house was ten people, six kids four adults. This was my new home.
