Perry, Contributing Columnist\r\nJune 25, 2007 \r\n\r\nFederal prosecutors indicted former New Orleans School Board member, Ellenese Brooks-Simms, for her role in a pay-to-play scheme that landed JRL Enterprises a multimillion dollar contract and potentially a minimum security retirement home for Brooks-Simms. The 67-year-old former teacher, principal, and school board president admitted to accepting bribes. The man suspected of delivering them to her is Mose Jefferson, brother of embattled U.S. Rep. Bill Jefferson.\r\n
