The following photographs are from my second trip back to the New Orleans area (11/07/05) to document the damage from Hurricane Katrina. The photos will take you back into parts of Gentilly and then visit New Orleans East and Uptown New Orleans for the first time. I saw much of the same type of destruction along with many surprises along the way. Just when you think you\'ve seen it all, you\'ll turn a corner and see an amazing, sometimes very disturbing image. Some parts of town showed improvement while other areas looked exactly as they were two weeks ago. Cleanup and recovery will take a very long time. I began my visit back in the Gentilly area. This refrigerator was located on Elysian Fields Ave., about one block from Prentiss.
