One vivid memory I have is after the storm when my mother and I evacuated to Nashville, she would wake up have her morning coffee and continue on her process of calling FEMA at least 5 times a day. Because the lines were always busy, she would call at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. After the 10th day of straight calling she got through and was able to speak to someone, unfortunately the person she was talking to couldn\'t help us and gave us a different number and the cycle began once more.
