Katrina was far more destructive than i could have imagined but the experience of the hurricane that stuck with me the most was the traffic. I never had nervousness towards cars until this time. Evacuation consisted of 16 hrs on the wat to Houston, Tx. By the time we arrived my family was divided in more ways than i could count. Fatigue and anger were in full force and everyone wanted to be alone. The television however was a wake up call for all of us. we needed to be glad to have one another and stop worrying about getting home to make money or make sure no one is stealing. We sat around the television wanted to repent for our actions when others were in a disaster such as this. \r\n\r\nGot all of our priorities in order.
