I was right out of high school and in my first week of college at UNO. when the storm hit I ended up in Baton Rouge for a few days then i went to San Antonio for a week or two when I came back my families house it had two feet of water and the roof was riped off. My family owned two small business one auto parts warehouse that was in midcity which got flooded and an auto repair shop. The parts warehouse went from 300 accounts to 30 and my dad relocated the store to Kenner but then sold the company to a national chain Car Quest. My family\'s auto repair shop is located on Aris near the 17th St Canal. Though it didn\'t get flooded we did loose more than half of our customer base. We had a rough few years after but we are doing fin now and are growing the business despite the current economy.
