was at work one day doing inventory until my manager told me that we have to move the merchandise to the top, because we might be affected by a huge hurricane. I looked at the forecast online, and saw that it will pass New Orleans. I got frightened, so I went home and told my parents that we need to leave the city right away. They didn\'t believe me. They thought it was nothing serious. The day before the city got hit, we decided to evacuate to Monroe, LA, where we had family.\r\n\r\nWe stayed at my aunt\'s and uncle\'s house together with my other aunt, her husband, and three of my cousins. The house was full of people, but at least we felt safe and happy to be together with family. It was a major change for me, because I never experienced this before. I was worried about my stuff at home and whether the levees will hold. I was watching the news everyday.\r\n\r\nMy parents forced me to go to school there, called Neville High School. I didn\'t like it there at all. I missed my friends and Class. We didn\'t know how long we needed to stay in Monroe, so my parents made sure I won\'t miss any school, since I had to graduate in May.\r\n\r\nOctober 3, 2005, I was already back in Kenner waiting to become a senior at Bonnabel High School. I was back at my old school and tried to make the best out of my senior year; and I did.
