A Saints Superbowl pep rally at the Michoud Assembly Center facility in New Orleans East. The facility itself did not receive any flooding from Hurricane Katrina and as a result became a command post for the military immediately following the storm. Most of the employees were displaced from their homes due to the ravages of the storm and some are still in the process of rebuilding. Others were relocated to jobs sites around the country and were required to continue working miles away from home and other family members for many months following the storm. The Saints Superbowl appearance has been a significant symbol of how far the city has come in four years as well as how deeply the people, who have suffered so much, have been unified by their similar, devastating experiences.
