I live in chalmette La it was totaled flooded by hurricane Katrina. The thing that affected me most was not the fact that I lost everything I owned. It was the friends in my life that I lost and will never beable to see again. This persons name was Rita Durry she ran the libary at my grammer school in chalmette. I have alot of memories of her she helped you with any need at the libary that you needed. She stay for Katrina like she did for ever other hurricane. This storm would be different her house was flooded with over twenty feet of water and she died on August 29th her name is on the maker in Shell Beach La. That is my personal story of Hurricane Katrina
