I was living in Thibodaux at the time Katrina hit. We evacuated to Lafayette but came home only two days after the storm hit. We were without electricity for a few days maybe a week. But once we had the electricity back we were glued in front of he television watching what was going on in the city. I don\'t really know why but there was one broadcast that stayed with me. There were news crews in a boat driving around a man holding a child. The child was about four years old and screaming. There was a helicopter above them and the filming crew in a boat around them. All I kept thinking was \"Why aren\'t they saving them?\"Instead they were making sure they got their footage. This poor child was scared and crying and they just kept floating around them. I don\'t really remember the adult that was there; all I remembered was that child. I am sure they rescued them but first they needed to get it on tape. I don\'t know. It really made me angry to think that in the midst of this horrible thing people were just trying to make money...
