My family was extremely lucky after Katrina. None of our houses flooded, but my brother decided to move away. We were lucky enough to have a relative allow us to stay in their fishing camp in Pierre Part, LA. We had my whole family in the camp. It was much better than staying in a hotel and it brought my family very close to each other. The storm made me realize how important family is.
