the media coverage was very accurate. they had shown the devastion and damage the hurricane had done. they covered stories of individuals, which gave the rest of america a feel of what had happened. although they didnt cover much on bush. whats really bad is that we couldve saved lives and homes if there was warning and a plan of evacuation. also having a city that is below sea level and not to mention that the land is sinking more and more each day. the architects who built the canals should have taken into consideration that factors that play into having a city built in a hurricane alley. i believe now that we have seen what happened the government should do something to minimize damage and maybe not have people live there. i recently heard that people are now rebuilding homes. these people and the government should think twice about having people live in such a dangerous area. i understand that louisiana may be home to many families but really when it comes down to it you want a place for your family to be safe and others so that you can build a home for kids, grandchilden etc.in the years to come.
