My Katrina story is one that I do not like to relive. It was an extremly stressful part of my life that was filled with great strength, courage, and the overwhelming sense that I was coming home to nothing. I came back home to a standing house, a beat up car, and having to share my house with my grandparents, aunt, and cousin. There were seven people living in my house before. \r\n\r\nWe evactuated to central Louisiana. A kind older man who was looking to help someone evactuating lent us his cabin for about two weeks. \r\n\r\nWhen I got home things quickley began to move toward normal but the stress of talking about all the details of what happened greatly stress me out. Mainly because my father, who is a firefighter, stayed behind and I did not hear from him for three days. I nearly lost my mind. \r\n\r\nToday, my life is back to normal and I would like for it to stay that way.
