I remember when I first heard about Hurricane Katrina. I remember thinking about how distant I felt from those affected. It sounds cold, but it seemed like \"just another tragedy brought to me by CNN.\" In the following weeks I felt angry like the rest of the country at the oversights and lack of aid provided by FEMA and other groups. It took months for me to realize the devastating affects and what had really gone on, something I feel came more from inside than from any media coverage, though the media certainly did steer me in certain directions.
