This is where my childhood memories took place. This is where I learned to love the quiet chirping of crickets, the rustling of oak trees, and the fresh air. And this is where Hurricane Katrina and Isaac unleashed some of their wrath. 12 feet of water for Katrina and 14 feet of water for Isaac. Braithwaite Park in Braithwaite, Louisisana, may very well never be the same, but the memories will always be there.
