Where are they now??

Collection

10th Anniversary

In 2005 we were primed for the best school year ever. The marquee outside Avery Alexander Elementary School in Gentilly read, "Its going to be a great year!" Little did we know that when we left school the Friday before the storm, things would never be the same. There are many little stories of what happened at the school during and after the storm, but the real tragedy is not that the building was damaged beyond repair from the flooding, but where did all of the students end up. We were the "Gem of Gentilly". 650 Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade students.

To date I was only able to connect with a few families. Gone but never forgotten. If you had a child, or are now a grown child from Avery Alexander Elementary, your Principal still yearns to know what happened to you and that you are well.

I am now Principal of Benjamin Franklin Elementary Mathematics and Science School. Get in touch. www.babyben.org
Emails from the website (except for admissions) go straight to me.
