Time has passed by, it is already one year ago when Hurricane Katrina destroyed the cities and took away thousands of lives. It was another big tragedy for US after 911. I did not look at the news on TV usually. I only look at the news online most of the time. However, when I knew about this terrible Hurricane had destroyed cities after cities, our family kept our TV on all the time during that period of time. Stared at all those pictures and videos on the TV, it was unbelivable. It was terrible. Houses and buildings were covered by flood. I imagined what would happen if I was living in there. I know even though I know how to swim, I might not to able to survive.\r\n Although it felt like pretty far from us(VA),everyone around us started to care about people in those states. We did whatever we could to help the victims, such as donation etc. Other than that, we could only pray for them. \r\n When school started about a week after, there were some new students who shared their experience of moving from city like New Orleans. I thank you God that they were able to evacuate from there. However, I was thinking how many people who were not as lucky as them. How many people were stuffering and waiting for help? God bless.\r\n
