My family and I evacuated on that Sunday before the hurricane. We really didn\'t think that we was going to be effected by Katrina, so we only brought about two sets of clothes with us. We went to Pike County Ms, which was also effected by the hurricane. This experience was so horrible for me because I did things that I never thought I would have to do to survive.\r\n When we returned home my house was flooded with three feet of water, which isn\'t bad, but we lost everything. We lived in our gutted house untill December untill we finally got the key to our trailer. Our F.E.M.A. trailer sat in front of our house for three months before we could move into it. When we finally got the key, we still couldn\'t move in because the gas didn\'t work.\r\n We finally got our contractor in April to take time to fix our house. My house is now finished in October, but we still can\'t move in because he is so money hungary that he didn\'t hook up our power in the rooms. It hurts so bad to know that my house is 97% complete and I still can\'t return to my real home after one year.
