Even though it has been a year since Hurricane Katrina, life still is not the same. Streetlights and electricity are still not operating in parts of the city. Rescue boats and abandoned houses dwindle on the sides of the road. Houses marked with signs proclaiming \"I\'m coming home\" inspire hope in citizens, yet the obviously untouched homes confuse observers. One of the most inspirational things going on in the city today, is the constant outpour of support New Orleanians are still receiving,. Even though many people may feel that enough time has gone by and New Orleans ahs received too much focus, I would like to personally thank those who continue to extend a helping hand. Much help is still needed and all aid is appreciated. Even though there is still so much work to be done, New Orleans is a city loved by its inhabitants. And with the strength of its people and its supporters New Orleans will return better than ever!
