New Orleans native Walter Williams is best known for having created Mr. Bill, the clay character that first appeared in a series of short films during the early years of NBC\'s Saturday Night Live in the mid-1970s. Following years of work in Los Angeles, Williams began in recent years to spend a great deal of time in New Orleans. He has created several environmental and historical documentaries as an independent producer.
