Lake Villa_cfbf2b48c6.jpg

This was taken February 22, 2006. I was in Metairie, on Lake Villa headed from West Esplanade toward Veterans Blvd. Almost 6 months after the storm I was finally seeing pods and trailers. (It was my fourth trip back since the storm.) Much of Jefferson Parish flooded because the pumps weren\'t on. The water may not have been as deep as in Orleans (a few inches to several feet) and it certainly didn\'t stay as long (24-36 hours), but the damage was certainly done.
