During the hurricane,I was in Metairie. After Katrina passed,we tried everyway to get to New Orleans,\r\nto see if I could\'ve got my two dogs.Though we tried every way to get to our house on Chefmentur Highway\r\nbut we couldn\'t get there but a month later[After Katrina]we found a way to get over there. There was Police every where, but we kinda had to sneak inside our area, and we finally got there, and I found my two dogs.As soon as I saw my house,I ran inside,EVERYTHING was stolen, the doors and windows were open.I started crying. My dogs were skinny, and it looked as if they got into a fight. There was at least 20 dogs that were on the street.I was really scared when I saw a Rottweiler. We heard some shooting about five blocks away. Now six months later\r\nI live in Metairie and my mom lives in Slidell, and unfortunately,my smallest dog died from drinking the water from the levees.
