I found out about the hurricane on a Tuesday and were not going to evacuate until the next night my mom watched the news and they told us it was a mandatory evacuation. It really scared me. I heard people talking about it at school a couple days before that it was going to be bad but, I never thought it would get worse. But, that Thursday me, my mom, her boyfriend, and my brother evacuated. My sister stayed with my dad here in Vidor. We were evacuating to Colmesneil which is only an hour away from here. It took us 4 hours just to get out of Evadale, it was the worst trip ever. It was really hot and we had my dog my mom\'s dog and her 5 puppies that were only 3 weeks old. It took us 9 hours to get to our evacuation place. Everything was fine except it was a little windy until about 9:30 that night. I was talking on the phone with my boyfriend and the top of theshed fell off. It was really loud. He told me he loved me and to be careful and before I could say it back the lights went out. It scared me. we all gathered around in the living room the whole time we could here trees cracking and falling all around us. we were scared because we didn\'t know where they were going to fall. It lasted until about 8:00 the next day..We stayed there for about a week then we went home. It aws the scariest ever.
