Online Story Contribution, Hurricane Digital Memory Bank

The day hurricane Rita hit, we decided to evacuate to Louisiana. Unfortunately our destination was in the eye of the hurricane and the place we were to be staying in was shabbier than our house. We decided to go back home. As soon as we got back onto the roads to head home, we got lost and felt the winds from the hurricane rocking the vehicle back and forth. We finally made it home unharmed, but had to hold each others hands as we dragged our stuff into the house to keep from getting blown away by the storm. Twice we had to hide in the safest place, the bathroom until finally our tree went down and into the street. When the eye finally passed over we were able to rest and didn\'t wake until the end of the storm. It was truely a terrifying experience but an adventure all the same. Luckily we suffered no major damage just a bit of a water leak in one of the rooms.
