My hurricane rita experience was not as bad as i expected. I went up to the lake to evacuate. A day after we got there, there was a mondatory evacuation for there. We couldnt leave because we didnt have enough gas to get anywhere, and there was no where open. We stayed there. The night of the storm, we could feel our barn swaying, it was very scary. When the storm was over I went with my friend to galveston. I stayed with her there for a week then when i got back me and my mom drove to Vidor to look at our house, Our road had a bunch of trees fallen down so we had to park our car and go look. We had to crawl through trees and stuff but when we got there, we found that our house was ok. Our car port fell and pur floor flooded, But everything was ok. We stayed in Vidor for a night. We found someplace that had gas, we bought a bunch. Then we went to beaumont and we saw that novroskies was open, we stopped to get something to eat. Then we couldnt stand it t home anymore, no electricity, no air, no food. It was horrible. We went back to the lake and stayed for a little while. I\'m so thankful that I still have a house to live at.
