Online Story Contribution, Hurricane Digital Memory Bank

I remember that I evacuated on wednesday night from hurricane Rita. It was a terrible feeling. Thinking that you would never see your friends again, your family, your house, your school, or at least your pets. My family, which included me, my mom, my dad, my brother, and his girlfriend. We first headed off to zavalla, which is heading to north Texas. we stayed there until after the hurricane hit, by time it got to us it was a catagory 1. There were powerlines that were down, few houses messed up, and alot of debri on the road, it was nothing to bad. After we just couldn\'t stand the heat and no water we then went to Fort Worth where my aunt lives. We stayed there until we were for sure that we could make it back down to Vidor. We were there for maybe a week or a little less. After the long 6 or more hour drive we made it back home, I could say that we were very relived, all in all our house was fine, my friends all made i through, my family was all ok, and we took my cat with us. Were just glad that\'s it\'s over with now.
