We left the thursday before the hurricane hit , we left about 5:30 in the morning to get a head start before the major rush came . In mauricville we got into traffiic for like two hours but the rest of the way it was pretty smooth sailing except for when we tried to stop for gas or for food then we got held there for like an hour just waiting in line to get gas. We got to austin , wich is where we stayed, about 6:00 that night .My grandparents came with us and my grandmother kept on saying we were just going to be gone for like three days then we would come back and every thing would be fine, but boy was she wrong. So we stayed there for like three weeks and we came back twice to hook up the generator to the house so my mom could stay there because she was at the hospitial to help. While the huricane was going through we were celebrating my cousins birthday . When we came back our house had three trees on it but we were ok so we stayed at my aunt and uncles house while our house was being fixed . We were just glad that everyone was ok. now almost everything is back to normal except for all of the trees on the side of ther road that still hasnt gotten picked up.I guess thats my story .I just hope that we dont have another one this year and that i dont have to do this ever again
