My name is Brandi Wright i live in Vidor Tx. On September 21,2005, my family and I, evacuated to Toledo Ben Lake, 3 days before hurricane Rita hit Shoutheast Texas. Altogether we had 19 people staying at our lake house. The first day we were there, our electricity went out, the third day we were there the Constable came up to our lake house and told us that it has now became a manditory evacuation for that area. We did not know what to do, we had no other place to go, and besides we had so many people there, that we all couldnt go to one place, so we stayed there, throughout the hurricane. It was really bad, Trees swaying from side to side, horrific winds, rain, hail, everything and worse you can imagine. The day after the storm my Dad, my Brother, and my Dad\'s Friend went back to see if and what was remaing of our belongings. My dad called us and told us that our house was demolished, and you couldnt even get down our driveway. That was the least thing my family and I expected, it was a nightmare that actually came true.
