I remember that day just like it was yesturday.i had went home that day and mom was packing all of our stuff. i looked at her and she was crying and had boxes full, as if she had been there for hours just packing and hadnt quit. i asked her what was going home. her reply was,\" baby get everything that means something to you and put it in to a box with your name on it.\"i was so scared and i didnt understand what was happening. we had 2 dogs and 1 horse and a whole bunch of stuff. that night i couldnt sleep and i was really scared becuase i wouldnt beable to take my horse becuase we had to put a tralier on the baqck of my dads truck. so lil mac had to stay. it was so hard to left my horse there. we found a place to put him and know that it would be safe for him. we left and we went to lake Samerabern. We didnt think that it would be that bad. the nighht of the hurricane i slept through it. my mom and dad and the rest of our family that was staying with us stayed up. i knew thati would be scared so why would i want to stay up and hear all that noise of breaking trees and sounds of wind that i have never ever heard. that moring i got up and mom and dad were all up a tree had fell and landed on the house that i was staying in at that time.my mom tried to call around and see what all happened to Vidor,she got a hold of Mr.Smith .he was the one that was holding my horse for us. mom asked how bad it was he started to cry and he said,\" Dont come home,theres not a thing left for anyone.\" she got off the phone and she looked at me grabed and started to cry . she said Ashton i am so sorry, i never wasnted you and your brother to ever experience this but we dont have a house any more. i feel to my knees and i hit the floor letting out of my anger and i asked god why. Wh ydid that have to happen to me. i waited for answer but nothing came back from him. i will never forget that experience i was only 15 and i was scared to know that my life would change if i came back to Vidor and know that i wouldnt have anything left to go back to home for. i was able to come back home and find that nothing was harmed.
