Parade of instruments going by\r\nSuch melancholy as I\'ve e\'er heard\r\nNot a word, just slowed gestures\r\nAnd slurred music, sadness bestirred\r\n\r\nI think I\'ll stand nigh and cry a tear\r\nAnd watch the mourners mourn\r\nAs goes by the funeral I hear\r\nNew Orleans style, sadly forlorn\r\n\r\nIt\'s tradition, for this town of parades\r\nTo mourn the dead with music\r\nAnd followers, slowly played...\r\nTill come we now upon graveside\r\n\r\nAnd when they\'ve been laid to rest\r\nThe music begins again, followers\r\nNow returning home to attest\r\nTradition brought us home, riposte
