Huricane Katrina displaced many people on August 25, 2005. Many of those people are still in other parts of the country. Many families were split apart and the question of whether they will be reunited for good still lingers. My family was not split apart. My house was not destroyed or flooded. I did however meet cecilia who is now my wife. We had been friends for five years before the huricane struck. Like many others we evacuated the day before the storm. We too were stuck in the flood of cars trying to get out of New Orleans. Needless to say we bonded more those up comming days than ever before. We realized when it was time for her to return to New Orleans and i was to go to Tennesse that we did not want to seperate. We got married three years later and now have been happily married for two and a half years. I know a lot of bad came from Katrina, but for our story it brought good.
