Many a Friday afternoon after work, my husband Steve and I drove over to Vera\'s Restaurant at the end of Rat\'s Nest Road (Lakeshore Drive) for dinner in Slidell. This is what was left of Vera\'s after Katrina tore through the area. I see that they are reopening in a new location close to the mall, far from the water! I wish them well and hope to enjoy the soft shell crab again someday.
