a couple of days before the evacuation became manditory my brother and sister went to my aunts house about an hour or so north of Vidor. that friday my dad had to work, and he was thinking about staying, but they old him to go home that it was mandatory to evacuate now. so that friday he called me and i started to pack up all of our important belongings. we went and stayed throughout the hurricane. my uncle called us saying that he made it back in through dirt roads and trails basicly. the cops had just about everywhere blocked off. so we decided to go back, we got my aunt to watch my brother and sister. we got back and it was horrible, we had about 14 trees down, we still have like 4 or 5 to \"dispose\" of. and the funny thing about that is that hurricane season starts again next month!!! give us a break could ya. as for as damage goes we got lucky i guess, as in we still have a house. it totaled out building shed thing, took off about 10 fet of my porch, and nicked the trailer. it was hard going back. all we had was two beat up tractors, 1 small genarator, and a drum of gas and diesle. it was not fun nor was it easy. and thats about it from me...
