hello my name is pennie, i was involved with hurricane rita. it was horrible! my family and i went to kirbyville which is not that far away from where the hurricane was going to hit but my family didnt think that it was gonna get that bad, well that\'s one thing that they were wrong about. It was a night mare! we almost ran out of food and water! once the hurricane past, my family and i went back to where i live and they would\'nt let us back into the city because it was so bad. my family and i had to go to lumberton to my grandpaws house and we stayed there for at least a week. we had finally gotten water at the end of the week and it was great! im not a big water fan but when it\'s all you have i dont think you would complain. also if you wanted to stay clean you had to take very cold showers. i hated it ! it was so cold i thought that i was going to turn into an ice cickle. i never want to ever go through that again. Once we finally got home, i almost cried, vidor looked horrible, it was like a ghost town. luckily, my house wasnt ruined. i was so happy to be home. there where houses torn apart and even churches. many things were ruined. I kept thinking to myself that vidor will never be the same again. but once everything got back to normal i was so happy. Im just hoping that me nor my family nor anyone else for that matter has to go through that ever again.
