Hurricane Rita was one of the worst hurricanes Vidor has ever had. Thye traffic was horrible, if u had to go somewhere it would of usually taken you double the time of when you would normally get there. After the hurricane peoples houses all around us were trashed. Bulidings were torn apart, cars were found in trees, and there was no electricity for almost a month. The few that stayed during the hurricane and wanted to ride out the hurricane were fortunate and most of them lived. There were lines to get food and water from Red Cross, the lines were miles long. I hope we never have to go through that again.
