The major thing that I remember of Hurricane Katrina and Rita was how the media coverage almost always put a negative spin on it. You heard more of how the federal government wasn\'t getting help to Louisiana quick enough and how so many African Americans were stranded in their homes. They didn\'t give much credit to the positives. All 50 states immediately sent National Guard troops and Canada sent the Canadian Mountain Guard. Without Americans and Canadians coming to work together Louisiana would of had a more difficult time of recovery if they had waited for Washington to send federal troops.
